(3) Glucomanno-oligomers + H2O → D-glucose + D-mannose

(hexokinase)
(4) D-glucose + D-mannose + ATP → G-6-P + M-6-P + ADP

(glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase)
(5) G-6-P + NADP+ → gluconate-6-phosphate + NADPH + H+
